The federal government tax credit expires April 30th. 2010 and will not be coming back. The step up $6,500 tax credit expires April 30th also. Since it is January 7th. as this is being written April might sound like a long time from now. It’s NOT! It will take 45 days to close your home purchase (approximately) from the day you and the seller agree on the price and terms.
